For a lot of buyers, heat source is the first fork in the road. This still sits at the top of our electric list. The 10 Gallon Advanced Model is a complete copper moonshine still built to run on 220V power.
How we file it
- Size: 10 gallons
- Budget: from $1249
- Heat source: 220V electric
- Use: distillers who would rather dial in power than tend a flame
Why go electric
Electric heat changes the experiment. You aren't adjusting a burner. You're controlling heat, vapor, and timing through power. For the scientist in you, that means one less variable tied to the weather or a gas tank, and a setup that's easier to repeat and record run after run. The copper does what copper has always done. You control the energy going into it.
Check your space first
A 220V still needs a 220V circuit, and that part is on you. If you're not sure what your space has, hire a licensed electrician before you order. Plan your ventilation and workspace the way you'd plan any experiment: carefully and ahead of time.
How it compares
It's the same 10 gallon size as the $899 Complete model and the $1499 FlameFlow™. Pick this one if electric heat is on your must-have list. Advanced Model is the shop's name for it, so call them at 603-997-6786 to hear what sets it apart from their other 10 gallon stills.
