- By heat source: electric fits here. Our element listing pairs stills of 10–50 gallons with one 220v element and recommends two for stills over 60 gallons. The propane burner on our list is rated for 6–30 gallons, so it isn't a match for this unit.

How It's Built
The copper is 99.9% pure, lead-free sheet sourced in the USA. It's worked in heavy gauge and joined with lead-free solder. Every unit is water tested and shows zero leaks.
The Layout
Setup runs left to right. The pot sits with its temperature gauge on the left. The thumper goes to its right with the drain plug facing you, and the worm with its coil goes to the right of the thumper. The cap seats on the pot and connects to the thumper with spin fittings. The science starts when you watch that gauge and read the thumper.
